Mike grew up in Albany, NY and is the product of excellent public schools. After receiving an undergraduate degree in mathematics from Lafayette College, Mike obtained a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Arizona. Mike has spent his career in higher education and technology. As an entrepreneur, Mike founded a higher education predictive analytics company that he later sold to a large software company. Currently, Mike works full-time at Arizona State University as the Executive Director of Data & Analysis.

Mike and his wife, Jessica, feel fortunate to have made the decision to purchase their first family home in Scottsdale 24 years ago. Scottsdale has been a wonderful place to raise their twin girls. Attending Cochise Elementary, Cocopah Middle School, and Chaparral High School, both girls worked hard to achieve merit-driven scholarships that can be attributed to the excelling programs, dedicated staff, and unique opportunities offered in SUSD.

Even after his own children have flown the nest, Mike continues to help guide and influence SUSD students via robotics and engineering. For 8 years and counting, Mike has taken pride in mentoring students on the Chaparral High School robotics team and developing their interest in STEM careers. Additionally, Mike was honored to serve on the board of his synagogue, Congregation Or Tzion for 5 years.

I am dedicated to making Scottsdale Unified School District the first choice of parents and students seeking the best educational opportunities. Our neighborhood schools are the backbone of our community. As a parent and longtime homeowner in Scottsdale, I want to serve the next generation while protecting our schools and property values.
